Hi, I'm Serene. I am more than my career pivots and hobbies. I live heart-forward, chasing fireflies and feeling alive.

I grew up in New Mexico, spent nearly two decades in Seattle, and now live in Philadelphia. I spend my time walking my neighborhood, vibrant with history and mosaics. I am also slowly convincing a concrete backyard that it's a garden. I am building community and nurturing friendships.

On weekends I dream of mucking stalls for rescued livestock, on the theory that a farm should be earned before it's owned. I see llamas and guardian dogs and horses when I sleep, when I dream.

This site isn't a portfolio site, because resumes are boring and I am more interesting than my college degrees. This site keeps track of what I'm reading, making, and growing.
