Bookbinding
I spend all day building software for books, so binding them by hand is the analog counterweight. I am a beginner, learning to turn loose paper into something you can actually shelve.
What I’m learning
The basics, for now: folding signatures, sewing them together, and wrapping a cover that holds. It is slow work and my corners are not square yet.
Notes
It pairs with the paper I am learning to make, so the real goal is a book that is mine end to end, from pulp to cover. Recommendations for good beginner resources are always welcome.
